I dedicate a mile to Kelcey Batzer. We met when we were both babies in pre school. We are best friends but we sort of fell out of touch. She is probably the most kind and accepting person I've ever met.

In honor of my sister Jeanne who died two years ago. I will continue helping my neighbors.

I would like you to walk a mile for my grandmother who died of breast cancer. Even though she is in heaven I still look up to her and she inspires me in many ways.

I would like to dedicate a mile to my mom. She is a two-time cancer survivor. Defying the odds both times. She has such strength and optimism. She is my hero!

Please walk a mile in honor of one of my good friends who was killed three weeks ago over a Facebook dispute. He was a neighborhood friend and we always played basketball together. I will continue to encourage kids in my neighborhood to attend school and stop resorting to violence.

I want to dedicate this mile to my grandma, because she buys things even if they are expensive for me and she cares for me.

Please walk a mile for my best friend Jess. She is one of the most amazing, kind-hearted people I have ever met and she has been battling illness for a long time.

I am dedicating one mile to my grandfathers and great uncles who have fought in many different wars like Korea, Vietnam and World War II. Some of whom now have cancer and are crippled from bullets and shrapnel. This dedication is to show my family who are veterans and to show troops that I care and people love them and care about them.

I dedicate a mile to my Great Grandmother, Evelyn Wilkes loving called Nannie by all. She was the sister to 11,Mother of 4,Grandmother of 20 and the Great-Great-Great Grandmother of hundreds. She is considered a pioneer in our family. I remember when president Clintons mother passed, she sent him a sympathy card; she was just that type of caring woman. She is known most for her cooking, she was the best. Within mins she could whip up a good meal to feed anyone including strangers. We miss u dearly! Shine on!

I would like to dedicate a mile to my father Charles Seymour that passed away from brain cancer 5 years ago. One of his most beloved activities throughout his life was hiking and involving himself in the wilderness. Coming from NYC, he took every opportunity he could to utilize any open space he could find!

To my dog so she gets healthy again.

Please walk a mile for my grandmother Marilyn Blum. She was a wonderful woman and without her I wouldn't have such a great mom and wouldn't be the person I am today. I will donate blood and try to have more patience with my mom.

Please walk a mile for Dr. Roberts because he passed away recently and was AWESOME. I will help my parents pack up their house for their renovations.

I would like to dedicate a mile to Thomas Hughes. Tom died a few years ago and he was my best friend. When my family and I would go on vacation all my siblings had friends their age and they did not want to hang out with me. I would hang out with Tom, he was older than my parents but we had the most fun! The last time I saw him was at my sisters wedding in 2004 where we danced together, I was never able to say goodbye to Tom but I know he looks down on me everyday. Whenever I see a Monarch Butterfly I think of him.

She went missing while hiking in the Olympic National Park a few years ago and emerged nearly a week after she was expected. I am grateful for answered prayers and her determination. The woods would never be the same without her.

She is one of the strongest women I know and if anyone can beat it she can! Her immediate goal: to feel strong enough to spend the week in Provincetown with her wife Laura the week of the women's events and to scrap up enough money to afford it. In return: I have just picked up cases of bleach, kitty litter and dog biscuits to bring to Hi-Tor Animal Shelter.
