My dedication is to my parents, for always taking care of me.

Please walk a mile of the White Mountains in NH in honor of my sister Mary who was my hiking partner for years. She went missing while hiking in the Olympic National Park a few years ago and emerged nearly a week after she was expected. I am grateful for answered prayers and her determination. The woods would never be the same without her.

My pool teammate Deb who is fighting breast cancer. I will do yard work, landscaping for my sister who has no sense of having an outdoor green thumb.

My dad was sent to me as a gift. He loved me unconditionally even though I was not his blood - he treated me like I was. He has an amazing love for his family, saw the wonder in a child's eye and fought for those who he had a deep care and admiration for. He gave us much and he is truly missed. Love you Daddy, Your Little Girl.

Walk a mile for my cousin who died of AIDS in 1989. In honor of those who have lost life or have AIDS. Walk a mile to cure AIDS and for mental health awareness to take away the stigma. I will donate blood.

I dedicate this to my mom because she has always supported me in all my decisions. She is the best mother in this world to me because I know all the things she has suffered from in the past.

I dedicate a mile to my motherês friend who has twins. The twinsê dad died of cancer.

I am dedicating one mile to my grandfathers and great uncles who have fought in many different wars like Korea, Vietnam and World War II. Some of whom now have cancer and are crippled from bullets and shrapnel. This dedication is to show my family who are veterans and to show troops that I care and people love them and care about them.

My father's best friend Kevin who died in 2003. He was 42 years old with two young kids and died suddenly of a heart attack.

I dedicate this to my 2 1/2 year old brother who's name is Neil. I will walk my dog because my mom and dad get tired and don't feel like doing it.

My dedication is for Alyse Aquino. Alyse has just recently had a kidney transplant. She inspires me to do better every time I think of her. She still struggles today but she makes me realize how sweating the small stuff is just silly. I love making her smile and I love her dearly

My dedication goes to Abbe - a 10 year old girl. She survived cancer after a year of 56 treatments. Her determination throughout the year was fascinating.

I would like to dedicate this to my mother. Her continued smotherness of love to me and caring for everyone around her should be commemorated. I thank you mom for dedicating your life to me and Alex!

From helping unwed, pregnant teens in Tennessee during the 1940's to advocating for neurologically challenged children she always worked for the good of others. She has been gone for many years but I still want to say, "Thanks, Mom, for your good example!"
