I want to dedicate a mile to all my family members who have passed away from cancer. Love you guys!

For my Grandmother. I miss her very much. I will practice more patience, and also I am running a marathon as a fundraiser for Fisher House, which helps military families.

I would like to dedicate a mile to my mother who would have been whole-heartedly behind the intention of this movement. As a social worker, she dedicated her life to making sure that everyone was valued. From helping unwed, pregnant teens in Tennessee during the 1940's to advocating for neurologically challenged children she always worked for the good of others. She has been gone for many years but I still want to say, "Thanks, Mom, for your good example!"

For my grandfather who passed away from Alzheimer's. I will sponsor a 10 mile walk. However much money people give doesn't matter. I will heighten the awareness and that will be my measure of success.

I dedicate a mile to Lisa Petovello.

To my niece and nephews who have Autism. I will make people aware of autism.

I dedicate this to my dad because he has done so much for me and other people. He is also a fire fighter. I will show my appreciation and do things for people when they need me like when they are hurt.

I dedicate a mile to my motherês mom who passed away last year. I hope that her soul is resting in peace. I never got to see her since she died in the Philippines, so Iêm disappointed that she was gone before I had a chance to go there.

To my friend Joseph Ogaldaz who died and left a son and mother. He died because of gang violence.

I dedicate a mile to Ann Pintauro, an inspirational young adult who has changed my life with her love and caring ability.

I dedicate a mile to my grandmother, Catherine Broderick. She passed away four years ago at 93 years old. She was the nicest person I have ever known and I miss her every day. She inspired me to be a better person and I pass her house every time I come home from school.

For my grandmother who passed away from ovarian cancer. I will walk in Cancer Walk for the Cure this summer.

I would like to dedicate a mile to my father, uncles and cousins, and friends who are like my family who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces. They have made sacrifices I could never fathom to help keep us safe. Thank you for your honor, your bravery and for your dedication!

I dedicate a mile to my parents. My parents are like no others, theyêve helped me and guided me to be the person I am today.

Their sacrifices are not unrecognized and I am so appreciative for all they have given to keep us safe. Every time I see a person in uniform, I thank them for their service. For Cathy Wright, Office of Student Life, Portland Maine who is fighting breast cancer. I will make Nana's bed.

I dedicate a mile to my cousin Eleni because she is my role model. I will start a fundraiser for kids who can't afford surgical procedures and medical help.

Linus and Lucy are rescue kitties. They had been in two abusive households before finding the loving caring home they have been in for the past decade. They are Jessieês brother and sister and are supporting her in her journey to walk4good. Linus and Lucy want Jessie to walk a mile to raise awareness for abused animals and to give them hope for a better life. Linus and Lucy have helped in fundraising efforts for this cause having been chosen to be on the cover of calendars for Siamese Rescue NYC as well as for a local animal shelter in Rockland County.

For my brother. I will be there for him whenever he needs me and I will be his mentor.

I would like to dedicate a mile in honor of my parents who I miss so much and wish they could still be here for me. I promise to be a better person and see the world in a different light.

Please walk a mile for Thomas and Carol Kenny. Although I didnêt know them well, my grandparents have made a big impact on my life.

I dedicate a mile to my father Eric Ronaldo Cruz who is my father not by blood but by choice. He accepted me, took care of me and loves me as his daughter. I will be forever grateful to have met him.

My list of dedications might be a bit long, but each one is too important not to include. First and foremost I would like to dedicate my deep thanks to my mom for every sacrifice she made so I could be here today. From giving me a wonderful education, a deep sense of faith and, showing me the best examples of a compassionate heart. She was there for every step, from the best moments to the darkest. This dedication is to her. My next dedication is to my wonderful brothers who I know I can call any time for anything, big or small, and they will be there even if it is just to talk. They are three great guys!! My next dedication is to my loving children and husband who make my days more joyful and happier than I could have ever dreamed. To grandma and grandpa Boyce, your presence and spirit is with me always even though you have been gone for so long.To my Special Olympic swim team athletes and my coaching staff, you inspire me everyday to enjoy every moment we are given. Lastly, to the doctors and surgeons who have helped me fight the disease of endometriosis for so many years and given me back a much better quality of life than I had when the disease started. I owe you my life and my deepest thanks for never giving up the hope I would once again be well.

I'd like to dedicate one hour to my husband, Paul to thank him for the kind care he gave to my elderly parents in the final months of their lives. He was at the hospital each and every day and I know that gave them and me peace and comfort in those difficult days. I will always appreciate that kindness.

Please walk a mile for my brother, Michael Baptiste. He has done so much to shape me into the person I am today.

Please walk a mile in honor of my neighbor Francesco Galvano who I've known since he was born 12 years ago. He is like a little brother to me. He was diagnosed with Leukemia in June. He is now strong and in remission. He's amazing. I will volunteer at a children's hospital and do everything I an to help cancer patients. I will be there for Francisco always and forever.

Please walk in honor of women battling breast cancer. I am paying it forward by walking and raising money for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. I have logged hundreds of miles training, not quite 765, and I will walk 39 miles the weekend of October 20-21.

I would like you to walk a mile for my grandmother who died of breast cancer. Even though she is in heaven I still look up to her and she inspires me in many ways.

I would like to dedicate a mile in memory of a friend that took his own life on January 15, 2012 unexpectadley. Nathan Wilson was a 16 year old teenager that loved his friends and family. He was on the track team at his local high school, and he also was the kicked for the football team. Nathan always had a smile on his face no matter what happened, andhe was always dtermined to do his best. Nathan was also heading to states in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). The death of our friend Nathan rocked the small towns of Harwinton and Burlington. At his funeral that was held in Thomaston over 1000 people showed up to say their final prayers and ask him to watch over us. Before he passed away, he saved 5 lives, because he donated his organs, including his heart. Whoever got his heart better know that they have a heart of gold and the strongest heart out there. His mom who taught at the high school as a Business teacher. She has been the most rock solid person and has been there for all us who shed enough tears to make the Nile River flow. He will truly be missed by all, and in his memory, we ask that you walk a mile for him.
