Keep Walkin’ $150.00 – It’s estimated that Christine will shred three pair of boots in taking nearly 5 million steps over 2,180 miles. Help her by purchasing a pair of boots!
Sleep Well $125.00 – Christine and Jessie will sometimes stay in a hotel, bed and breakfast, motel or hostel. You can help by purchasing a town stay that will include all hotel accommodations and food for an average two nights (including shuttle pickup, taxes, etc.).
Feed Bag $100 (includes shipping). The average hiker expends roughly 6,000 calories per day and walks more in 20 minutes than the average American walks in a week. Bottom line is: Christine needs fuel and lot of it. This much-needed package will include everything she’ll eat on the trail for one week like instant grits/oatmeal, beef jerky, trail mix, crackers, peanut butter/spreads and a dehydrated dinners (YUM!).
Stay Connected $75.00 – Help Christine stay connected. This package includes covering costs for cell service, satellite communicator service and the technology she’ll need to keep her phone and camera charged so she can share her experiences with the world.
Bounce It – $60.00 Christine will have a box containing her laptop, town clothes, toiletry items and other misc. items she will not have in her backpack. Each time she arrives in a town, she will have her box. When she departs, she’ll send that box ahead to her next destination.
Civilized Person $30.00 – Help Christine look like a civilized person and not turn into a mountain woman. This package includes personal hygiene items that she’ll use when she is in a town (shampoo, conditioner, soap, razor, toothbrush, toothpaste, lotion etc.).
Civilized Dog $15.00 – Help Jessie stay beautiful and clean so she doesn’t end up looking like a stray wolf. This package includes treats, dog shampoo, foot care and supplements.
Put a Sock in It $10.00 – Christine will go through approximately 10-15 pairs of Smartwool hiking socks. And by go through we mean destroy.
